The AES67 4-wire app now allows 1200 series SmartPanels to connect both analog audio inputs (Audio A/B) and up to 2 SMPTE 2110-30 (AES67) channels in the audio network without occupying ports on the Artist Matrix. In the I/O Matrix, signals between From Artist Patch and To Artist Patch can be used to send signals between the I/O Matrix and the Director audio patch. The AES67 4-wire is independent of the analog 4-wire, which means that both can be used in parallel. There is no longer a selection to decide whether a 4-wire is analog or AES67. |
This app requires a license file (INT_1200_AES67_4W).

Follow these steps to activate the AES67 4-wire operation.
The AES67 4-wire can only be used if the SmartPanel is connected to the matrix via AES67.
If the SmartPanel is connected to an Artist-1024, the transport mode is automatically AES67.
If the SmartPanel is connected to an Artist-32/64/128, the transport mode must be set to AES67 as follows.

Touch the
gear icon in the info display.

Select the menu: Transport.

In the Transport Mode entry, select the AES67 option.
Open the web interface of the SmartPanel:

Enter the IP address in the web browser (e.g. 192.168.41.159).
The SmartPanel web interface opens:

Navigate to the I/O Matrix tab.

Click on the Receiver (1...4) that is to receive the AES67 4-wire stream (e.g., Receiver 1).

The Receiver Settings will open.

Enter the stream parameters.

Alternatively, you can load the parameters via an SDP file by clicking the Import SDP button.

Apply the settings by clicking the
button.

Then start receiving the stream by pressing the
button.
The number of audio channels defined in the Receiver Settings is displayed in the I/O matrix.

Click on the Sender (1...2) that is to send the AES67 4-wire stream (e.g., Sender 1).
The Sender Settings will open.

Enter the stream parameters.

Apply the settings by clicking the
button.

You can save the parameters as an SDP file by clicking the Export SDP button.

Then start sending the stream by pressing the
button.

Route your AES67 audio channel input to the desired outputs by setting the appropriate crosspoints.
In this example, the first audio channel of Receiver 1 is routed to the first audio channel of Sender 1, to the Analog A Output, and to the Artist Matrix.
