This chapter describes the general operation of the Intercom app on the SmartPanel:

Lever-Key Functions

Push the lever key up or down to trigger the function. An activated function is indicated either by the lever keys' LED ring or in the corresponding key display.

The lever up key function is only latching.

The lever down key function depends on the configuration in Director: momentary, latching or automatic (short press = latched / long press = momentary).

Key Display Functions (Secondary Function Drawer)

Touching the display of a key for half a second opens a Secondary Function Drawer. The dialog will disappear after 3 seconds of inactivity. Depending on whether the SmartPanel is connected to an Artist-32/64/128 or Artist-1024, different secondary functions are available.

When connected to an Artist-1024, only relevant secondary functions related to the respective key function are offered (e.g. only unconfigured keys offer the 'Copy Reply'function).

Key Display Functions (Secondary Function Drawer)

In total, the following secondary functions are available:

			Sends a beep to the remote panel as long as the symbol is touched.
			Activates/deactivates the listening function of the outgoing audio (Talk) on the remote panel (monitor remote panel). In Talk/Listen mode, this function corresponds to the lever key movement upwards. In Talk/Mute mode the activated monitoring function is indicated by an ear icon in the upper right area. ->Operation (Artist-1024) \| MonitorListenAutolisten
			Sets the volume of the corresponding channel to normal level or switches off the muting.
			Configures the copy-reply function to an empty key (without configuration). ->Operation (Artist-1024) \| CopyReply
			Monitor Off / Autolisten Off Switches the listening function off again. ->Operation (Artist-1024) \| MonitorListenAutolisten
			Removes the Copy-Reply function. ->Operation (Artist-1024) \| CopyReply
			Opens the Telephone Dial keypad. Once the connection has been established, the dial keypad can be called up again to dial DTMF tones. The DTMF tone is sent directly as soon as a number is pressed.
			Opens the Scroll-List or the reply stack.
			Opens the phone book, which can be used to conveniently establish connections to VoIP devices. The creation and the management of phone books is done in the Director. ->Operation (Artist-1024) \| PhoneBook
			Dials the specified phone number to VoIP devices. The numbers are defined in the Director. ->Operation (Artist-1024) \| FixedNumber
