Clip Companion - Generally Available

Official release of the new browser-based web app Clip Companion for use with ViBox. A second screen that allows users to manage clips and playlists in the system.

Clip Companion is a web application designed around traditional replay workflows providing even greater asset management over internal system assets in a familiar interface.

SimplyLive Production Suite Flex Backend/Venue Gateway Mode Selector - Generally Available

The new mode selector is an application available for SimplyLive Production Suite Flex servers, allowing customers to run the server hardware in either - Backend or Venue Gateway modes. Providing even more flexibility to the solution, customers can run their “Flex” system as a Replay, Review, Video Server or Live Production system or run it as a Venue Gateway for remote contribution encoding workflows.

SKAARHOJ Switcher Panel Integration

Using a new API providing a sub-set of Keyboard shortcut commands for ViBox via a gRPC endpoint we have partnered with SKAARHOJ to offer hardware-based switcher panels, designed around an All-in-One Live User workflow.

Customers can now use a hardware panel, such as the SKAARHOJ MasterKey48 switcher panel, to control the ViBox software and build a Switcher Panel for ViBox Production. Ideal for any operator running an All-in-One production that wants to use a hardware panel over our typical touch-screen workflow.

Increased the number General Purpose Outputs assignable to RTDs

We have increased the number of GPOs that can be triggered by RTDs from 8 to 16 (for any machines with 256 GB or more of RAM). This allows triggering external 3rd party devices, such as SCTE inserters, Downstream GFX engines or other Signal Processing devices when an RTD has been used in a production. Enabling even more complex workflows when using the ViBox Production software with one or more operators.

Enhancements to ViBox

The following enhancements have been made to ViBox, increasing the number of workflows that can be supported and responding to requests that make life as a single operator running a high-profile live production even easier.

• Four new Keyboard shortcuts for Aux Channels

• Name the Manual Transitions buttons with custom labels

• New Macro parameter for pre-loading clips & playlists, now load to PGM in addition to PRV

• New Macro parameter for +/- frame seek, now not only for reply but also available for PGM and PRV as well

• New Macro to Mark the Out point for Replay, PGM or PRV

• Cut playlist item functionality is not available in the UI (previously only available using an RCU)

• Cut playlist item shortcut available in the ShuttleXpress

Automatic Ingest for Graphics & RTDs

It is now possible to use watch folders to automatically ingest RTD and Graphics assets into the SimplyLive Server, following the same logic applied to the automatic ingest for clips.

There are three new watch folders on systems running Version 2.1:

• GFX 1/2 for full frame graphics intended to be keyed on to the Graphics 1 and Graphics 2 channels in ViBox.

• GFX 3 for banner graphics to be used for logos or straps.

• RTD for replay transitions, files should be compatible with the RTD format.
