The fully integrated 1200 Series Desktop SmartPanel 1216HL is a space-saving, multifunctional user interface that brings the power and flexibility of Riedel’s software-defined SmartPanel ecosystem to the desktop. The SmartPanel concept decouples the panel’s capabilities from its hardware and turns it into a generic device on which customers can install different apps to enable a wide range of workflows. With a Riedel SmartPanel, you not only get what it is capable of today - but also what it will be capable of in the future.

The Linear Timecode (LTC) is a new app for Riedel 1200 series SmartPanels that brings a new and simple way to display timecode on the SmartPanel displays. It can be easily configured via the new WebUI and only requires a single license.

It is now possible to lock a 1200 series SmartPanel connected to Artist-1024 to one of the two intercom keybanks via Director configuration. If the panel is e.g. locked to keybank 1, it is not possible to switch the panel UI to keybank 2 anymore. Other keybanks are not affected by this setting.

It is now possible to disable the copy reply function on 1200 series SmartPanels connected to Artist-1024 via the Director configuration.

It is now possible to fully mute the sidetone on 1200 series SmartPanels by turning the sidetone volume lower than -57dB.

The AES67 4W app now supports SMPTE ST2022-7 redundancy as well as AMWA NMOS IS-04, IS-05 and IS-08. AES67 sender and receiver as well as NMOS configuration is available via the new WebUI.

The redesigned WebUI 2.0 for 1200 series SmartPanels comes with the following features and improvements:

• Complete visual redesign to align with other Riedel products.

• Live View and Remote Control now integrated in landing page with View Settings and improved signalization of remote control active state as well as XLR insert detection. Improved rear view with network status LEDs.

• CPA: Discovery mechanism for all SmartPanels with a CPA license in the network, batch enable and configuration of key modules.

• I/O Matrix tab that can be used to set internal crosspoints and configure AES67 4W senders and receivers.

• Password protection / admin login feature.The password is configured in the Director and is persistent without Artist connection.
