Backend

💽 Prerequisites

  • AJA (same as previous PRP)

    • Driver: 16.1.0.3

    • Firmware: corvid_88_2021-04-28.bit(3F)

  • Blackmagic

    • Driver: Blackmagic_Desktop_Video_Windows_14.4.1

If you don’t upgrade this Black magic driver, your backend won’t be able to start and will be stuck in “Waiting Genlock” in the frame2tcp debug screen

ALWAYS UNINSTALL THE PREVIOUS DRIVER BEFORE UPGRADE TO THE NEW ONE

🐞 Bug fixes

  • WebConfig 1.25.17.221: fix/ extend get server status timeout to 30s

  • SUP-384: ViBox UI - PGM Thumbnail is not following the Mixer delay set in the config

  • SUP-405: Vibox Prod and live, Aux outputs Stuttering

  • Exporting a SSM camera from Xport UI with DNX mov and high framerate with audio always failed since Backend 11.25.13.7

From that version of Venue Gateway the installer on the SDK in not anymore in the VGW installer, it needs to be installed separately

Important notes

🛠️ Licenses needed for the VDR panel

The sdk version used with the backend included in that new package will need a license for the VDR

 

For all demo servers please make sure you have a new license for the VDR. That licenses will be added to the watchdog as all other licenses

For Production make sure to have the license

 

Known issues

H264.ts File sources in the backend cannot start if Keep Frame Time = 1 in Hardware.ini

With the lastest backend we have an issue if we use internal file and the parameter “Keep Frame Time” is set to 1 in the backend (used with SRT feeds coming from a VGW)

So please make sure that parameter is set to 0 if you use file as input source ( BUG-6801 )

SDI Output Frozen with BM when I use H264.ts sources

With the lastest backend we have an issue if we use internal file and a black magic I/O board

All SDI output will show a frozen picture as soon as we switch a source from a file ( BUG-6800 )
