Instance Type
The SimplyLive production suite relies heavily on Nvidia GPUs for encoding and overall video processing. Therefore, AWS instances used must be equipped with Nvidia GPUs, as other GPU brands like AMD are not supported. Backend and Clients require Nvidia GPU instances.

Supported Instance Types
The list above is not the comprehensive list of supported instance types, but the types currently validated as working with SimplyLive Release Packages. If you would like to use other instance sizes or types, please get in touch with Riedel Customer Support and we would be happy to discuss testing with other instance types according to your workflow requirements.
To ensure sufficient resources, it is advisable to request an increase in your vCPU quota for these “g” instance families. By default, AWS quotas may not provide enough resources for a basic setup.
Client instances also require GPU capabilities to provide sufficient encoding resources necessary for advanced remote desktop solutions, such as the Riedel recommended option NiceDCV.
IP Addresses
Static public IP addresses may be convenient to keep fast access even if instances are stopped and started over the production. AWS enables this by using elastic IP addresses.
