Imagine Communications Selenio Network Processor (SNP)
Production
Recommended for normal production use.

Compatibility Note: This information is a general guide and may be incomplete, may not match a specific project implementation, and is subject to change as supported products and versions evolve. Confirm the exact implementation and requirements for each project with Riedel and the relevant equipment vendor, then validate the required functions end to end in the target environment before deployment.
Minimum hi Version: v2.8.0
Overview
hi controls the Imagine Communications® Selenio™ Network Processor using CCS-P over TCP or UDP. The integration reads and writes processing parameters, and monitors status. AudioFlex™ controls appear when the SNP exposes them.
Network Requirements
-
Connection Model: hi initiates the selected TCP or UDP exchange.
-
Multicast / Unicast: Unicast TCP or UDP.
-
VLAN / IGMP: No multicast configuration is required.
-
Bandwidth: Control traffic only.
-
IP Version: IPv4.
-
Firewall: Allow TCP from hi to the SNP on Port 4517, or UDP to the SNP on Port 4050 when UDP is selected. With UDP, also allow inbound UDP from the SNP to Port 4000 on the hi server, because hi receives CCS-P messages on that local Port.

Supported Features
|
Feature |
Access |
Exposed Operation and Scope |
|---|---|---|
|
Parameter Write (Assign) |
Per-parameter access |
Write CCS-P parameters the SNP exposes as writable; parameters marked non-writable are read-only in hi. |
|
Parameter Query |
Read-only |
Query published values. |
|
Parameter Tables |
Per-parameter access |
Read and write the integer, string, and enumeration cells of parameter tables that the SNP publishes. |
|
Response and Status |
Read-only events |
Receive parameter responses and device-status updates. |
|
AudioFlex Parameters |
Per-parameter access |
Available only when the SNP publishes them through CCS-P; their access follows the published parameter. This is not a separate AudioFlex API. |
Device Coverage
Tested With identifies devices that have been tested with hi. Potentially Compatible (Not Yet Verified) identifies devices that use the same protocol or connection method but have not been tested with hi. Device-specific configuration, firmware, and feature support can affect results.

Known Limitations
-
AudioFlex features depend on the specific SNP configuration and licensed options.
-
The SNP serves CCS-P on TCP port
4517and UDP port4050. The default Port is4517; when you select UDP, enter the UDP port that the SNP uses. -
The SNP Manager in the vendor's console view includes a CCSP Interface Documentation section with a link to the parameter tree and alarm list. Use it to confirm the parameters that the SNP publishes.
-
If the Parameter tree is incomplete, confirm that the SNP publishes the required CCS-P functions for the selected transport.
-
With UDP, hi expects a keep-alive from the device within 25 seconds, then requests one and waits another 25 seconds before it treats the device as disconnected. With TCP, hi sends a keep-alive every 25 seconds.
-
When hi connects, it loads the top four levels of the CCS-P tree and the enumeration types that the SNP publishes. hi loads deeper levels when you open them in the Parameter Browser.
-
Network Transport defaults to
TCP. It is available when you create the Node and afterward. The Port does not change with the transport.
What's Not Supported
-
Firmware updates, license administration, and base hardware provisioning.
-
CCS-P methods and function invocation, relative adjustments (Adjust and AdjustCoarse), SetDefault, and the static, dynamic, method, and identifier queries. The protocol defines them, and hi uses only Query and Assign for Parameters.
-
CCS-P alarms, alarm tables, and device alarm state.
