An installation that has never run 2.7.6 contacts Riedel Customer Success before upgrading.

Ubuntu 20.04 Server LTS was added alongside Ubuntu 16.04 in 2.6.0. From 2.7.4, the installation and infrastructure update procedure requires Ubuntu 20.04 and rejects Ubuntu 16.04. Arrange the operating-system migration before upgrading an Ubuntu 16.04 installation.

Ubuntu 24.04 Server LTS is supported from 2.7.9 and required from 3.0.0. See System Requirements.

Breaking changes add up across skipped releases. Review the Breaking Changes of every release between the installed version and the target version. For example, an upgrade from 2.7.9 to 3.0.0 also needs the AJA KUMO rebuild from 2.8.0.
