Overview

The Sony^® HDC Series template represents camera endpoints in the hi Topology. It does not establish a direct control connection to the camera.

Network Requirements

No network connection, device address, Port, authentication, or firewall rule is required by this template.

Operator Workflow

UI Surface in hi: Inventory, Topology, and routing workflows that use the configured camera endpoints
Configuration: Add the Node from the Sony HDC Series template, name its Ports, assign Tags, and connect its outputs to the commissioned Topology
Device Control: Use a separately supported CCU, RCP, MSU, or CNA-2 integration when camera Parameter Control is required

Required Configuration

Add a Node from the Sony HDC Series template.
Set Count and Start numbering with, both 1 by default. These are creation-time settings.
Name the camera Ports and connect them to the commissioned Topology.
Assign Tags needed by the site's routing workflows.
Verify that the expected static endpoints and Signal Paths appear in the Topology.

Device-Side Setup

No device-side network setup is required because this template does not connect to the camera.

Supported Features

Fixed Crosspoints	Model-only	CAM to Camera Out, SDI OUT 1, SDI OUT 2, and Monitoring; Mic 1 to Mic 1 Out; Mic 2 to Mic 2 Out.

Device Coverage

This integration models HDC Series cameras in the Topology only. Because hi does not connect to the camera, it has no Tested With list and no camera firmware range.

Known Limitations

This template defines static signal topology only; hi does not connect to the physical camera or expose its live state.

What's Not Supported

This template provides static signal endpoints only. Direct camera Parameter Control, Tally control, Sony CNA-2 communication, and webhook events are not supported through it. Use a separately supported CCU, RCP, MSU, or CNA-2 integration for camera Parameter Control.
Firmware updates, camera calibration, and device configuration backup.
