Upgrade Guidance
Version 2.7.9 supports Ubuntu 20.04 Server LTS and Ubuntu 24.04 Server LTS. Use Ubuntu 24.04 Server LTS for new installations, and plan the operating-system upgrade before moving to hi version 3.0.0 or later.
Ubuntu 24.04 installations require a separate installation package supplied by Riedel Customer Success. The installer bundled with this release requires Ubuntu 20.04.

Contact Riedel Customer Success before upgrading an installation that has not previously run version 2.7.6.

Licensing Impact
Static Presets, Hardware Panel simulation, Port Container Templates, and priority editing require their feature entitlements. Verify these entitlements when upgrading.
Static Preset previews remain available from the Static Preset when the separate Hardware Panel simulation entitlement is absent.
Stored priorities from a restored Backup still affect sorting when priority editing is unavailable.

Static Presets and Preset Editor

Introduced Static Presets and a Preset Editor for creating non-dynamic Presets.

Convert a Dynamic Preset into a separate Static Preset to retain button positions and navigation folders as Tags or access assignments change. The editor supports rearranging buttons with a mouse or touchscreen and previewing panel layouts.

Changed the default for Disconnect Non-Matching Ports to enabled for new systems and after clearing the system configuration. During Port Container routing, unmatched Destination Ports are disconnected when this setting is enabled.
