Grass Valley LDX Series Integration Configuration

Configuration Overview
The LDX Series template creates camera Nodes for the Topology only. hi does not connect to the camera, so the camera needs no setup for hi. For live camera Parameters, add a Camera Connect Node as well.

Before You Begin

Use Node admin and open Inventory > Nodes. See Manage Nodes.

Confirm the license and minimum hi version in Required Configuration.

Confirm the network access in Network Requirements.

Decide how many cameras to create and the number of the first camera.
Configure LDX Camera Nodes
Device Configuration

No device configuration is required for hi. Configure the camera with the Grass Valley tools.
hi Configuration

Add the LDX Series integration (manufacturer Grass Valley) in Inventory.

Enter Count, the number of cameras to create. The default is
1. -
Enter Start numbering with, the number of the first camera. The default is
1. Both settings are available only when you create the Nodes. -
Create the Nodes. hi creates one Node for each camera, numbered from Start numbering with. Each Node has the Ports and fixed Crosspoints listed in Supported Features.
For example, a Count of 4 with Start numbering with 5 creates four Nodes numbered 5 to 8.

Verify the Configuration
Open the Topology and confirm that each Node has the camera Ports, and that CAM routes to Camera Out, SDI OUT 1, SDI OUT 2, and Monitoring.
