Breaking Changes
Tally Over TSL 5 Uses Only the Left Tally Property
-
Changed Tally over TSL 5 to use only the Left Tally property. Earlier versions also used the Text Color property, which slowed Tally propagation on some multiviewers.
Information
Operator Impact: A multiviewer that reads Tally from the Text Color property shows no Tally after the upgrade.
Caution
Required Action: Configure the multiviewer to read Tally from the Left Tally property.
For more information, see: Tally.
New Integrations
EVS DYVI Series
-
Added Tally reception, Source name readout, and dynamic Source labels for EVS® DYVI™ mixers through Ember+.
For more information, see: EVS DYVI Series.
Lawo mc² Series Audio Console
-
Added Crosspoint routing and Parameter Control for Lawo® mc²™ audio consoles and other Lawo audio devices through Ember+.
For more information, see: Lawo mc² Series Audio Console.
Imagine Communications CCS-P Parameter Controllable Device
-
Added Parameter Control for Imagine Communications® devices that support the CCS-P protocol.
For more information, see: Imagine Communications CCS-P Parameter Controllable Device.
Grass Valley Densité Parameter Controllable Device
-
Added Parameter Control for Grass Valley® Densité™ devices. A Grass Valley AppServer is required for hi to communicate with the devices.
For more information, see: Grass Valley Densité Parameter Controllable Device.
Added
Hardware Panel Port Grouping
-
Added automatic grouping of Ports on Hardware Panels by the Tags in the Preset configuration. Improved the Hardware Panel layout, font, and navigation button appearance.
For more information, see: Control Panel.
Pinned Ports in Presets
-
Added pinned Ports in Presets. Pinned Ports override automatic filtering and sorting, can be reordered, are saved in the Preset, and are shown on Hardware Panels that use the Preset.
For more information, see: Control Panel Presets.
Port Container Routing Status
-
Added the currently routed Source to Port Containers on the Control Panel and Hardware Panels, and a short name for showing Port Containers on Hardware Panels. Port Container names can now feed multiviewer UMD and mixer labels.
For more information, see: Port Containers.
User-Specific Presets
-
Added Presets for individual users on the Control Panel. Administrative users can delegate Presets to manage globally relevant Presets.
For more information, see: Delegate a Preset.
Button on Panel Rule Trigger
-
Added the Button on Panel Rule trigger, which shows a button on the Control Panel and Hardware Panels according to assigned Tags and starts the Rule when pressed.
For more information, see: Rules.
TSL Tally Bit Assignment
-
Added configuration options for vision mixer integrations that send Tally over TSL, such as FOR-A and Ross. A Tally from hi can now be assigned to any TSL tally bit.
For more information, see: Tally.
Changed
Log Rotation
-
Improved log rotation for the hi system. New installations are configured automatically.
Information
Operator Impact: Installations upgraded from an earlier version do not use the new log rotation until it is enabled.
Caution
Required Action: Contact Riedel Customer Success to enable log rotation after upgrading.
