Snapshot Recall Includes Unexpected Items

Snapshot Recall Includes Unexpected Items

Diagnosis

Scenario

You select saved items on more than one Snapshot detail tab.

Observed Behavior

The selective recall confirmation includes component types or counts beyond the items visible on the current tab.

Why This Happens

Selections persist across tabs. Selecting connections and then selecting labels combines both selections for Recall selected items.

Prerequisites

  • Selective recall requires Snapshot admin.

  • Keep the recall confirmation open until you have reviewed its full scope; cancel it if any item is unexpected.

  • Confirm with the responsible operator before applying live changes.

Resolution

  1. Snapshot administrator: Cancel the confirmation if it includes unexpected component types or counts.

  2. Review each tab on which you made a selection and clear the unwanted row or device selections. Selections on another tab still contribute to recall.

  3. Select Recall selected items again and compare the summary by component type with the intended scope.

  4. If an unexpected item remains, cancel and inspect the selections again. Select Recall only when every listed item is intended and the live change can proceed.

Verify the Result

Before recall, confirm the summary contains only the intended scope. After recall, verify the corresponding live values and confirm that unrelated values remain unchanged.

See Recall Selected Snapshot Items.
