Overview
Look up the fields used when creating or editing a Portal. See Portals for the virtual routing model and loop constraints.
Portal Properties
Each Portal has the following properties:

Shortened label used on Hardware Panels |

Monitoring Name |
Override label for UMD targets (defaults to the display name) |

Override label for vision mixer label targets (defaults to the Panel Name) |

Format Type |
One of the supported Flow formats: SDI, Audio, Data, NDI, AMPP Stream, ST2022-8, |
Portal Icons
Portals use distinct icons in the hi web interface to differentiate them from standard Ports:

These icons appear in the Control Panel, Port Picker dialogs, and anywhere Port icons are displayed. The tooltip of a Portal Port reads "Portal - <format type>", for example "Portal - SDI".
Constraints
The Format Type determines which Ports and Port Containers the Portal can connect to. Use compatible Source and Destination formats. Portal management requires the roles and licensing documented on Manage Portals.
