What the License Enables
hiDock is an installation-wide entitlement that lets an external automation or control system operate selected hi Sources and Destinations through the Northbound Interface. The external system can use its existing control workflow while hi remains the source of truth for routing state. hiDock is also required for third-party clients licensed with hiLink.

Requirements and Combinations
hiDock requires hiBase for an existing hiBase installation or hiCore for a new installation.
Planning Notes
Plan the maximum number of external systems that can connect at the same time. The Northbound Interface page documents the supported setup and the supported external-control workflow.
Scope Boundary
hiDock provides the external-control gateway and resource mapping. For third-party clients, which are Northbound clients or supported third-party Hardware Panels, pair one installation-wide hiDock with hiLink for each active client. Supported third-party Hardware Panels also need enough hiUser capacity for their sessions beyond the sessions included in hiBase or hiCore.
