Create a Parameter Widget
Overview
Create a Parameter Widget to make a pinned parameter available in a reusable Widget Group. Its control follows the parameter's data type.
Prerequisites
-
Your account has Widget admin, and the installation license enables Widgets, which shows Widget Library in the menu.
-
The intended parameter is pinned on its Node.
-
You know the parameter's Node, name, and operational purpose.
Create the Widget
-
Open Widget Library and select Widgets.
-
Select the plus button, select Parameter, then select Select.
-
In Select 1 Parameter, identify the Node and parameter in the list.
-
Select one parameter, then select Save.
-
Select 1 Parameter identifies the parameter-selection dialog.
-
The selected row identifies the Node and pinned parameter.
-
Save creates the Widget from the selected parameter.
If the list is empty, check that the intended parameter is pinned. When adding directly to a Widget Group, a parameter already represented in that group is excluded.
The Widget Library's Edit action does not change a Parameter Widget's parameter binding. Create a Widget for a different parameter instead.
Verify the Result
Confirm that the Widget appears in the Widgets list with the expected parameter name. Include it in the intended Widget Group and Preset before operator use.
Follow Make Widgets Available in a Control Panel Preset for the group and Preset setup.
Next Steps
-
Manage Widgets to review use, delegation, and pinned parameters.
