Delete a User

Overview

Permanently remove a selected user account or Hardware Panel profile.

Prerequisites

Use an account with the User admin role.
Open the Users list and identify the accounts to change.
To remove a Hardware Panel profile, also use the Node admin role.

Delete is disabled when no row is selected, when the selection includes the account you are signed in with, or when the selection includes a Hardware Panel profile and your account lacks the Node admin role. Deselect your own account to enable Delete for the other users.

Caution

Deleting a user is permanent. Deleting a Hardware Panel profile deletes the associated device. Confirm that the device can be removed.

Caution

Select either user accounts or Hardware Panel profiles, not both. When a selection contains both kinds, the operation deletes the Hardware Panel profiles only. The selected user accounts remain.

Delete the Account

Select one or more users.
Select Delete.
Review the confirmation. Select Delete to confirm, or Cancel to keep the selection unchanged.

The confirmation names what you are about to delete.

Selecting outside the dialog does not close it; use Cancel.

Verify the Result

Confirm that the removed accounts no longer appear in the Users list. For a Hardware Panel profile, also confirm that the device no longer appears in the Node List.
